Modern Italian dishes with an extensive Italian wine list and draught Italian beers
Situated on Bath’s Grand Parade with panoramic views of Pulteney Bridge and the weir, Joya Italian ristorante offers excellent freshly prepared modern Italian dishes, complimented by an extensive Italian wine list and draught Italian beers.
Influenced by the Puglia region of Italy the menu consists of pasta dishes, stonebaked pizzas (using our homemade pizza dough) and chargrilled free-range chicken, fish and locally sourced extra mature sirloin & fillet steaks.
Our pasta dishes are prepared using Italy’s favourite pasta; this combined with the best of local and imported Italian ingredients creates fantastic authentic and much-loved comfort food. Our pizzas are made using our special homemade dough and cooked on a traditional stone surface to create mouth watering crispy Italian pizzas. Using a chargrill we also produce excellent chicken dishes, such as free-range chicken breast butterfly, cooked and served with a mushroom, brandy and cream sauce. Our chargrill is also used to prepare our locally sourced extra mature sirloin and fillet steaks served with twice cooked skin-on fries.
The ethos of Joya is to bring modern Italian dining to the heart of Bath. We do our very best to source the most authentic and high quality ingredients and combine these to create fantastic dishes from our homemade Spaghetti Bolognese to our locally sourced extra mature chargrilled fillet steaks. We believe the difference at Joya is we take care and pride in our food. This can be found in the most detailed and complex of dishes or quite simply by noting the scrumminess of our twice cooked skin-on fries served with our meat and chicken dishes.
The quality and attention to detail in our food and kitchen has been reflected by excellent reviews and also by Bath & North East Somerset Council awarding us the highest possible hygiene rating for our kitchen.
Joya: a Puglian jewel in Bath and a joy for every visitor
Gioia (Joya) Del Colle in Puglia translates as the ‘joy/jewel of the hill’ (depending on who you ask) and is the home town of the family behind Joya – and we want Joya to be a place that is both a jewel in Bath and a joy for every visitor.
Gioia Del Colle is situated in the heart of Puglia and is famous for its fior di latte mozzarella, extra virgin olive oil and its intense primitivo wine. But Gioia is more than this: it is a bubbling little market town where everyone knows everyone and the streets are filled with chatter and banter every evening. Gioia has some of Puglia’s most modern commerce and construction but it also still maintains its old fashioned independence and quaint character. Washing lines are still strung across the street in the old part of the town, scooters dash around the small streets and you get nowhere unless you know the right person to talk to.
Gioia Del Colle reflects what we want to achieve at Joya. The food is modern and so is our kitchen but at the same time Joya feels like the best Italian restaurants: an informal, friendly place where you can relax and unwind with good food and good wines.
“Joya is deserving of its name; another little jewel in Bath’s culinary crown.”
