Gioia (Joya) Del Colle in Puglia translates as the ‘joy/jewel of the hill’ (depending on who you ask) and is the home town of the family behind Joya – and we want Joya to be a place that is both a jewel in Bath and a joy for every visitor.

 That’s why we believe it’s the perfect venue for your wedding or private party.

Gioia Del Colle is situated in the heart of Puglia and is famous for its fior di latte mozzarella, extra virgin olive oil and its intense primitivo wine. But Gioia is more than this: it is a bubbling little market town where everyone knows everyone and the streets are filled with chatter and banter every evening. 

Gioia has some of Puglia’s most modern commerce and construction but it also still maintains its old fashioned independence and quaint character. Washing lines are still strung across the street in the old part of the town, scooters dash around the small streets and you get nowhere unless you know the right person to talk to. 



Gioia Del Colle reflects what we want to achieve at Joya. The food is modern and so is our kitchen but at the same time Joya feels like the best Italian restaurants: an informal, friendly place where you can relax and unwind with good food and good wines.
